Tyburn Tree

An execution dock in London that was the primary place for hangings for over 600 years. The scaffolding could hang up to 24 people at a time. To "dance the Tyburn jig" was to hang. In 1783 executions were moved to Newgate Prison and Tyburn's gallows were dismantled.
